Our brand new Under 23’s side got off to a winning start last night against AFC Stoneham Development as we secured the three points with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Alfie Tilsed and Max Day on an enjoyable evening in Stoneham.

We came into the game not knowing what to expect with the lads only having three trial sessions with new manager Juan Valverde in the build up to the start of the season.

The Dolphins had a few set backs throughout the game with one player dislocating his shoulder and ending up in A&E and with the scores tied at 1-1, we went down to ten men.

However, rather than letting our heads drop, we fought back and earnt a deserved 2-1 win and a fantastic start to our league campaign.

Next week, we have our first home game of the season against Ringwood Town which will be played at Tatnam on Wednesday night with a 7:45pm kick off. Entry is £3 and free for Under 16s, the bar will be open until half time so please come down and support if you can!
