Poole Town FC’s Charity of the Year, University Hospitals Dorset, will benefit from a whopping total of £5753 raised at the Race Night held at the Poole Centenary Club on Friday 15 November.

The evening raised £3,253 and was matched with a donation of £2,500 from the Gale Foundation Trust CIO. Club director and Chair of Trustees of the Foundation, Richard Gale, commented:  “We had hopes that the evening would raise £2,500 so to exceed that by another £750 is brilliant. We are extremely grateful to all those who sponsored the event and who donated the wonderful raffle prizes which considerably boosted our final total.”

The money raised will be spent on the new toys, consoles, ipads and sensory equipment needed for the new children’s unit due to open at Bournemouth Hospital next year.
