Young talented striker Tom Hewlett signed for Poole for the 2024/25 campaign after turning down a professional contract at Burton Albion.
Tom Hewlett signed for Burton Albion at just 11 years old and agreed a deal for a professional contract with the Brewers in 2020.
Hewlett made his senior debut for Burton on the 8th of September 2020 as a substitute in the EFL Trophy against Peterborough United, a game that ended 3-3 which Burton then lost on penalties.
After making his debut for Burton, his season was curtailed after a leg-break kept him out of action for 18 months.
Tom Hewlett started the 2023/24 season on loan at national league north side Hereford before having spells at Long Eaton United and Stratford Town.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, Tom Hewlett was offered a contract extension at Burton Albion but turned it down in favour of joining Steve Tully’s side.
Steve Tully’s side will go to a replay taking place on Tuesday evening after a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Swindon Supermarine. Written by Connor Hannon
