A natural proven goal-scorer who scores for fun, Toby Holmes netted 22 goals in 44 appearances for the Dolphins last season, which crowned him as the club’s top goal scorer for the 23/24 season.

His early football career was spent playing locally for Parley Sports in the Dorset Premier League where he was the League’s top scorer with 35 goals in 2014-15. In the first half of the following season, he dual registered with Poole Town before he switched to Dorchester Town for the latter part of the campaign.

His career really took off when he joined Wimborne Town in the summer of 2016 where in a three-year stint at the club scored 132 goals from just 143 appearances and was joint winner of the Southern League Golden Boot award in 2017-18, when he also collected the Manager’s Player award.

Our star striker returned to the Dolphins where, so far, he has scored 45 goals in 107 appearances; long may the goal scoring continue.

Poole Town’s number nine picked up two awards following the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign as he was awarded Managers player of the year and Top Scorer.

The experienced striker is also seen as a leader within the squad who the players look up to and has been a vital player throughout Steve Tully’s tenure so far.
