Poole Town FC Wessex U18 Development team travelled to Hamble FC on Thursday as they took on the next round of the FA Youth Cup.

Both teams started the game slightly nervously and neither could take the upper hand.

Some good spells of play shown by both teams but still no goals at half time.

After the break, Poole were the first side to really start stamping their authority on the game. Some slick passing and movement saw them make the breakthrough late on in the second half.

Sam Jackson latched onto a cross from the right with a smart first time finish.

Shortly after, Ethan Fries Robles doubled the young Dolphins lead with a similar finish.

A penalty for the home team five minutes from the end had the potential to set up a nervous finish, but Poole held the ball intelligently to see the game out and go into the draw for the next round.
