A 4-0 win over Swindon Supermarine saw Poole Town further distance themselves from relegation.

Coming off a 2-1 away win against league leaders Merthyr, Joe Lea and Pat Suraci made 2 changes for the game with Christos Batzelis and Harvey Slade coming into the team.

After a 15 minute delay due to players being stuck in traffic, the game started with a high tempo.

The Dolphins looked on top in the early stages as Ezio Touray’s chipped effort in the 10th minute sailed just wide of the post.

The away side fought back into the game despite early domination from Poole and created chances of their own as Zack Kotwica’s effort crashed off the crossbar.

The game was deadlocked until, half an hour in when Kris Campbell breezed past his man and slotted his shot into the bottom left corner to give Poole the lead.

The Dolphins deservedly went into halftime with the one goal lead, looking the better team in the half.

As the teams came out for the second half it didn’t take long until Poole found their second through Campbell who was there at the right time to poke home his second of the game and strengthen the Dolphin’s lead.

Only moments later and Campbell very nearly had his first hattrick in a Poole shirt but was denied by a fantastic stop.

The Dolphins first substitution came in the form of Charlie Davis replacing Tyrique Clarke on the 63rd minute.

The away side grew into the second half and came up with a few chances however Ben Taylor stood strong.

After continuous pressure, Poole had their third in the 75th minute as Selim Saied scored a beauty after working his way up the left flank before cutting his way inside and curling a shot into the far corner.

Six added minutes gave the Dolphins time to get one more as Saied scored his second after converting a fast counter attack to make it four and secure all three points.

The next game for Poole is a trip to Dorchester at 3pm on Easter Monday.
