Biography

The 27-year-old winger joined us from Shaftesbury in the summer of 2024. Holmes first joined us at the start of 2015/16 season as a teenager, where he played a handful of games following his release from AFC Bournemouth.

After spells at Wimborne, Dorchester and Salisbury, Luke Holmes re-joined Poole in 2019. He made 18 appearances, scoring two goals before the season was curtailed due to Covid, Holmes then signed for Wimborne again.

The winger signed for Poole for a third time at the start of the 2021/22 season, however, his gametime was limited over the following two seasons due to a groin injury.

After spending the previous season at Shaftesbury, Luke Holmes decided to come back to Poole for a fourth spell for the 2024/25 campaign.
